Job description

Leading Investment bank is looking for a Senior Credit Review / Portfolio Specialist within its Counterparty Credit Risk team. The role is a hybrid position requiring four days onsite and is available across several U.S. locations - Major cities in - (MA, NC, CT, DE, NJ, RI)

Within Credit Review, an independent function responsible for assessing the quality of credit decisions, evaluating the effectiveness of credit processes, identifying emerging risks, and reporting findings to executive management, the Board, regulators, and auditors. The Portfolio Specialist partners with Credit Review Portfolio Managers to execute risk-based coverage plans across portfolios that include hedge funds, asset managers, central counterparties, and structured financing transactions.

Responsibilities include conducting and leading examinations, performing transaction reviews, overseeing issue management, monitoring remediation activities, supporting regulatory interactions, and mentoring junior staff. The role also contributes to business assessment reports, coverage planning, and ongoing risk analysis.

Required:

• 8-10+ years of commercial credit experience, strong expertise in counterparty credit risk concepts such as exposure measurement, margining, stress testing, and ISDA/CSA documentation,
• proven leadership, project management, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience in hedge funds, prime brokerage, regulated funds, market risk, or credit portfolio management is highly preferred
