Qualifications

  • Must have knowledge of cash register operation and money handling, including making change, counting, and programming of cash register.
  • Must possess a high degree of responsibility, reliability, and integrity in handling money.
  • Neatness in appearance, tact, and courteousness in dealing with public.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.

Job Summary:

Counter attendants are responsible for and promote coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies. They perform a variety of tasks, including money management. This consists of receiving money, operating a computerized cash register, running daily financial reports, counting money, and reconciling for accurate daily reports and deposits. They must maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in the preparation and serving of food.
