Responsibilities

• Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
• Ensure drop and soft count functions are completed timely.
• Maintain and verify operation of count and dispense equipment across Soft Count, Cage, and kiosks.
• Keep inventory of replacement parts and supplies for count/dispense equipment.
• Know how to use diagnostic and test equipment properly.
• Supervise staff and ensure training on procedures.
• Coordinate with Count & Technician Manager on staffing actions.
• Promote respectful interactions between coworkers.
• Report non-routine activities and equipment issues immediately.
• Ensure compliance with department, company, and regulatory procedures.
• Communicate effectively with management and other departments for smooth operations.
• Monitor environment and follow safety procedures; protect guests and staff.
• Contribute to a team-focused, asset-protective workplace.

Job Summary

Supervises Soft Count/Drop Team activity and the maintenance of count & dispense equipment. Assists with overseeing compliance with and implementation of established policies and procedures, and accuracy and accountability of Casino assets and reports.

• Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
• Assures that the drop and soft count functions are completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain and verify proper functioning of count and dispense equipment including those used in Soft Count, the Cage and kiosks and their related components and support systems.
• Maintains proper inventory of replacement parts and supplies to ensure the accurate operation of the count and dispense equipment.
• Knowledge of functionality and proper use of all diagnostic and test equipment.
• Supervise and ensures that staff is properly trained in existing and new procedures.
• Coordinates with the Count & Technician Manager all personnel actions within the Soft Count / Drop Team area are addressed in a timely manner.
• Monitor and address mutual respect and interaction between co-workers.
• Communicate all non-routine activities within the department and items of concern, including equipment malfunction, to the Count & Technician Manager immediately.
• Ensures Department personnel comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
• Communicateseffectively with management, staff, and other departmentsin order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.
• Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
• Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.

Supplemental Job Duties

• Familiarizes self with casino minimum internal control standards in order to obtain full knowledge and understanding of these procedures.
• This position has signatory authority for machine access keys, drop access keys, and short pay authorizations.
• Report to work on time and as required in professional attire, display a high level of personal cleanliness, and follow personal appearance standards.
• Responsible for non-major repairs and resolve malfunctions to ensure continuous functionality.
• Attends all required meetings and training sessions.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will have the authority to; make decisions necessary for carrying out the above listed job duties, make recommendations, provide training opportunities, evaluate performance, create and/or delegate staff scheduling and invoke disciplinary action within approved guidelines. This position may have other supervisory authority assigned as necessary through management. This position directly supervises the Soft Count / Drop Team. This position will have authority to approve time cards within the time clock system.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke-filled environment. Some lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Requires considerable standing and walking along with use of hands, wrists, arms, fingers, as well as bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching. Exposure to electric current and moving mechanical parts is present.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences:Requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires knowledge of the Meskwaki Casino Internal Controls and standard operating procedures. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.

Skills/Abilities:Must be able to meet deadlines and work independently with little supervision. Must be able to read, interpret and understand the Meskwaki Casino Internal Controls and standard operating procedures. Must have the ability to maintain a professional attitude toward staff and senior management. Must be flexible with working hours and days off. Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written; effectively instruct and guide all subordinates. Must have the ability to openly and objectively evaluate and apply current operating procedures and policies. Must possess good computer skills. Must be able to meet all internal supervisory or higher, training and education requirements.

Restrictions

This position is PROHIBITED from playing all casino games while on duty, except as authorized for employee tournaments. Otherwise, this position may play any casino game while off duty. Employees and members of the household are prohibited from entering company contests and giveaways established for our guests.
