Job summary

CLIFF CASTLE CASINO HOTEL in AZ is hiring for a Count Room Clerk responsible for all steps of the drop and count processes for Table Games and gaming machines.

You will ensure compliance with gaming regulations and company policies while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness of counts and related paperwork.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; internships/apprenticeships may be considered for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.
• Ability to operate a 10-key adding machine accurately.
• Proficiency with basic math calculations.
• Computer literacy and ability to learn new software/hardware.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions; pass any applicable tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment used in counting coins and currency.
• Remove bill validator cans from slot machines and replace with empty cans; transport cans.
• Transport all money to Count Room and count, verify, and strap currency.
• Transfer currency and chips to the Vault; ensure accuracy of Count transactions and related paperwork.
• Keep Count Supervisor informed of pertinent information and irregularities.
• Develop knowledge of equipment, software, and hardware required to perform count team duties within 90 days.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for all aspects of the drop and count processes for Table Games and gaming machines ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State laws governing monetary transactions, and company policies, procedures, and controls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• - Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of equipment used in counting coins and currency.
• - Remove bill validator cans from slot machines and replace them with empty bill validator cans and put cans into carts.
• - Transport all money into the Count Room.
• - Count, verify, and strap all currency.
• - Transfer all currency and chips into the Vault.
• - In all operations, ensure the integrity of all Count transactions to include accuracy and thoroughness of operations and applicable paperwork.
• - Keep Count Supervisor informed of all pertinent information regarding count activities and any irregularities.
• - Develop a working knowledge of equipment, software and hardware necessary to perform count team duties within 90 days.
• - Perform other duties as assigned.
