Telehealth Counselor

*Must have OH Counseling license*

Typical schedule is M-F 6a-2:30p and possibly Saturdays as needed

As a Telehealth Counselor, you will oversee all aspects of a patient’s treatment, including coordination and continuity of care from admission through discharge and follow-up. You will promote performance improvement and service delivery by providing comprehensive psychological therapy addressing the causes and effects of addiction.

Requirements:

• CDCA or higher certification or licensure in Ohio
• Licensed Social Worker or higher licensure
• Licensed Professional Counselor or higher licensure
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or higher

Preferred:

• Experience with dependency and/or medication-assisted treatment

Responsibilities:

• Ensure completion of patient documentation in accordance with standards and policies
• Provide orientation to patients regarding program objectives and regulations
• Assess and place patients according to treatment phases and standards
• Maintain organized and updated patient files
• Provide crisis counseling and resource identification
• Engage non-compliant patients to increase awareness of consequences
• Facilitate referrals to community resources
• Conduct treatment plan reviews and participate in case conferences
• Stay informed on regulations through training and education
• Communicate with community partners via approved correspondences
• Secure necessary documentation from patients
• Submit statistical reports and attend supervision and team meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education:

• High School/GED or higher

Licenses & Certifications:

• CDCA or higher licensure in Ohio
