Qualifications

Join Our Team as a Counselor Technician - Part Time - Days at ReDiscover

ReDiscover is seeking a Counselor Technician to join our KC-ATC Program. We are a non-profit community mental health center in southeastern Jackson County, Missouri, with over 50 years of experience dedicated to providing effective treatment for individuals affected by mental illness or substance use.

About Us

Our diverse team of over 700 employees is passionate about supporting our community across 29 programs and 20 locations in Lee’s Summit, Raytown, and Kansas City. The Kansas City Assessment and Triage Center (KC-ATC) offers crisis and stabilization services for at-risk populations, working with law enforcement, hospitals, and community mental health providers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor clients in a safe environment, perform safety rounds, and document observations.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living and coaching on life skills, communication, and community integration.
• Respectfully interact with clients, guests, and staff, demonstrating cultural competence.
• Maintain cleanliness of the program space.
• Safeguard Protected Health Information and maintain confidentiality, including documentation and record management.

Qualifications

• Availability to work part-time (16 hours), Friday and Saturday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and GSuite.
