Job summary

BayMark Health Services seeks a Counselor Supervisor to oversee Counselors and Counselor Interns delivering treatment and casework services in compliance with laws and company policies. The supervisor ensures timely documentation of patient services based on the plan of care and identifies holistic needs for patients.

Responsible for related expenditures within the budget and may serve as Treatment Center Director when absent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or Master’s in a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with chemically dependent individuals.
• Must have prior supervisory experience and be self-motivated.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; EMR familiarity is a plus.

• Conducts quality assurance file reviews.
• Direct and supervise all intake operations.
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients.
• Maintains accurate and current clinical records per Federal and State Regulations governing NTP clinics.
• Maintain counseling caseload and supervise staff through meetings and training.

Full Time – Counselor Supervisor

The Counselor Supervisor will supervise the Counselors and Counselor Interns who provide treatment and casework services to patients in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and with BayMark’s policies and procedures. The clinical supervisor will ensure timely documentation of patient services based on plan of care. Must identify other physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs for assigned patients. Supervisor will also manage related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the company’s budget.

Responsibilities

• Assigns counselors’ caseloads, amends when necessary
• Conducts quality assurance file reviews
• Direct and supervise all intake operations
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
• Ensures accurate and current clinical records are maintained in accordance with Federal and State Regulations governing NTP clinics
• Maintain counseling caseload
• Provide direct supervision to clinicians as well as assist in the ongoing supervision of staff through meetings, in-service training’s, guest speakers and reviewing literature
• Acts as Treatment Center Director when he/she is absent
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications

• Must hold a bachelor’s degree in related field or master’s.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with chemically dependent individuals.
• Must have prior supervisory experience, be self-motivated and directed.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with EMRs is a plus
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
