Job summary

Camp Easterseals Virginia, operated by Easterseals PORT Health, is hiring Camp Counselors for a summer program in New Castle, VA. You’ll support campers with daily activities, provide safe personal care, and help create an inclusive, joyful environment in a beautiful wooded setting.

Enjoy room and board, meals provided, climate-controlled cabins, and two full days off between sessions. Biweekly pay and referral bonuses make this a rewarding summer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (some college coursework preferred).
• Compassion, dedication, and a heart for helping others.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Physically able to lift and assist with transfers (up to 45 lbs) and other personal care tasks.
• Commit to a minimum of 4 weeks at camp.

We’re hiring passionate and energetic Camp Counselors to join us in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of New Castle, VA. At Camp ESVA, you’ll build meaningful connections, spark joy, and play a key role in providing life-changing experiences for children and adults of all abilities.

Your Role in Our Mission:

As a Camp Counselor, you’ll help create a positive, inclusive environment for our campers. You’ll work closely with assigned camper(s) to support them in a variety of daily activities -everything from arts and crafts and adapted sports to swimming and campfires. You’ll also assist with personal care tasks like transfers, feeding, dressing, and other needs, ensuring that every camper has a safe, enjoyable experience.
