Job summary

Everest Recovery Centers in Saco, ME is seeking a Full-time Counselor (32 or 40 hours) for our Saco facility. The role runs 5:30am-2pm and focuses on counseling individuals with an opiate use disorder using the 12 Core Functions of SUD Counseling. You will complete required documentation and uphold confidentiality.

The position includes responsibilities in clinical assessments, individual/group counseling, and case-management. CADC/LADC certification and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CADC or LADC certification is required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to patients with opiate use disorder.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per laws and regulations.
• Offer case-management and referral services as needed.
• Serve as Peer Recovery Coach to assist patients not on caseload.

Position Summary:

The primary role of the counselor is to provide services to individuals with a primary diagnosis of an Opiate Use Disorder utilizing the 12 Core Functions of Substance Use Disorder Counseling. Complete all required documentation. Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality standards. This position will also serve as Peer Recovery Coach, assisting patients who are not on caseload with Health Homes Case Management Services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical:

• Clinical assessments to determine appropriate level of treatment.
• Provision of individual and group counseling services to patients
• Accurate and timely completion of patient documentation
• Maintain up to date and accurate patient records
• Provide case-management and referral services
• Adherence to patient confidentiality as required by Federal and State Law and Regulations.
• Maintain state required certifications
• Attend required trainings
• Outreach and networking
