Position: COUNSELOR STUDENT II (2) - (T226057)
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a COUNSELOR STUDENT II to work under minimal supervision. The role involves providing guidance and advice to students on course selection, prerequisites, career planning, and higher education. The counselor offers services related to student academics and life, makes referrals to appropriate agencies, and collects assessment data. Responsibilities include assisting with student recruitment and retention, serving on committees, maintaining confidentiality, conducting orientation and outreach, coordinating support services, preparing reports, and possibly acting in a supervisory capacity.
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field, along with four (4) years of related experience. Work experience cannot substitute for educational requirements.
