Residential Counselor

CBI is the premiere non‑profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, including prevention, education and treatment using cutting‑edge, nationally recognized, evidence‑based models.

Job Summary

The Residential Counselor is responsible for delivering therapeutic and treatment planning services to CBI Residential Patients, facilitating group counseling using the approved CBI Curriculum, and conducting individual sessions on a regular basis, all in compliance with the Department of Behavioral Health Services (DBHS), Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), Office of Behavioral Health Licensure (OBHL), and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Skills & Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in a related field

  • 2 years related experience in behavioral healthcare, physical health, or substance abuse
  • Associate or independently licensed professional with The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as psychologist, social worker, counselor, marriage and family therapist, or substance abuse counselor
