What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct initial clinical assessments and ongoing risk assessments for Sailors using the Columbia Suicide Severity Risk Scale (C-SSRS)
- Collaborate with Sailors' Commands to provide updates on risk, safety, and recovery progress
- Ensure Sailors are connected to behavioral health providers and supportive resources throughout their engagement with the SAIL program
- Document all SAIL contacts, assessments, and case management services in the designated record system
- Intervene in crisis situations using sound professional judgment and ethical practice
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or clinical psychology, or a Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology with a one-year clinical internship
- Current, valid, and unrestricted clinical license or certification authorizing independent practice in relevant fields
- Minimum of two years of full-time, post-master’s supervised clinical experience
- Experience providing case management to clinical clients for at least 2 years
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills
