Job summary

NC State University’s Counseling Center is seeking a Counselor and Coordinator of Masters Level Internships to oversee the Master’s Level Internship program, coordinate training activities, and supervise trainees within a busy university counseling center.

The role requires a Master’s degree (doctorate preferred) in psychology, counseling, or clinical social work, and full licensure in North Carolina. Strong multicultural competence and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required and a doctorate preferred in psychology, counseling, or clinical social work or closely-related field.
• Fully licensed in the State of North Carolina in appropriate discipline, at the independent level, and maintained according to NC laws.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the center’s Master’s Level Internship program.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive clinical training program for Master’s interns.
• Coordinate annual Intern selection process.
• Provide clinical supervision to trainees and unlicensed staff members.
