Overview
Position Title: Counselor, Licensed
Location: Colorado Springs, CO (In-person)
FLSA Type: Exempt - This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Responsibilities
- Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create, and implement a treatment plan, and complete ongoing documentation including treatment plan reviews and case notes according to company policy.
- Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in the community.
- Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals.
- Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session per company guidelines and protocol.
- For Full-Time status, maintain a minimum of 30 client visits per week.
- Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Diversus Health staff, and school staff as needed.
- Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and trainings.
The environment at Diversus Health is fluid; roles and responsibilities may be altered to accommodate changing business conditions and objectives. This position may require you to work standard hours, as well as flexible hours before and after standard hours, and overtime in excess of 40 hours per week.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
- Clinical licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, PsyD, etc.).
- Experience with completing DAs, treatment plans, and clinical case notes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients.
- Ability to complete and submit documentation of services in a timely manner (ideally by end of day or within 24 hours); concurrent/collaborative documentation is a plus.
- Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse high-need client base.
- Proficient in Office 365 and Electronic Health Record systems.
