Job summary

Universal Health Services, through Heartland Behavioral Health Services, is seeking a Licensed QMHP/mental health professional to provide individual, family and group psychotherapy to children and adolescents aged 4–17 in Nevada, Missouri.

Join our team to deliver integrated care within an interdisciplinary setting, participate in treatment planning, complete psychosocial histories and support discharge planning, in a facility serving mood and anxiety disorders with strong family involvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of psychotherapy principles for psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation.
• Master’s Degree in psychology, social work or counseling.
• Missouri licensure to practice independently preferred (LCSW/LPC/ Psy.D./Ph.D.).
• Two years experience in psychiatric inpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family and group psychotherapy to patients/residents and their families.
• Demonstrate ability to practice independently as a QMHP.
• Participate in treatment team meetings as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Complete psychosocial histories and aid in discharge planning.

Heartland Behavioral Health Services has been providing care for children and adolescents for over 100 years in Nevada, Missouri. We treat male and female patients ages 4 through 17 in both acute as well as residential programs for conditions ranging from depression, anxiety and other mood disorders to recovering from a traumatic event. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides individual, family and group psychotherapy to patients/residents and their families.
• Demonstrate the ability to practice independently as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
• Part of the interdisciplinary team, participating in treatment team meetings.
• Completes psychosocial histories and aids in discharge planning.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, knowledge, abilities):

• Knowledge of the professional principles, practices and techniques of psychotherapy as they apply to patients/residents undergoing psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation.
• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in psychology, social work or counseling.
• Prefer: Licensure from the State of Missouri to practice independently as a clinician in stated field, i.e., LCSW, LPC Psy.D. Ph.D., Will consider provisional licensure.
• Prefer: Two years experience in psychiatric inpatient setting preferred, practicum/internships within a mental health setting.
