Job summary

Amity Foundation, an internationally acclaimed Teaching and Therapeutic Community, is seeking compassionate individuals for Counselor II/III in its ISUDT program. You will work with prison and re-entry initiatives, delivering rehabilitative services and supporting community reintegration.

Responsibilities include facilitating CBI classes, counseling sessions, documenting progress in ARMS, and collaborating with CDCR/CCHCS staff.

Qualifications

• Certified as an AOD Counselor (Counselor II) or higher.
• Counselor III requires one year of full-time AOD counseling experience.
• Must be certified to be considered.

• Conduct class and individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans.
• Evaluate and document participant progress.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

About the Position:

The Counselor II/III (ISUDT) The Counselor III is responsible for the delivery of face-to-face rehabilitative programming services provided in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP).

What You Will Do:

• Facilitate CBI classes, using evidence-based and standardized curriculum to the participants.
• Conduct class and facilitate individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans and/or provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document the progress of participants assigned to their classes.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations for participations and completion.
• Work collaboratively with the CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institution, and CDCR contracted staff and

Required:

• Counselor II: Certified as an AOD Counselor.
• Counselor III: Certified as an AOD Counselor, with one (1) year of full- time experience providing certified AOD counseling services.
