Job summary

Amity Foundation is seeking compassionate counselors for the Counselor II/III (ISUDT) role to deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. The position focuses on facilitating CBI classes and individual sessions within a prison/re-entry context.

The Counselor II/III will document progress, collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS staff, and ensure adherence to program guidelines while supporting participants in release planning and accountability.

Qualifications

• Counselor II requires AOD Counselor certification.
• Counselor III requires AOD Counselor certification plus 1 year full-time counseling experience.
• Familiarity with documenting services in ARMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based curriculum.
• Conduct classes and individual sessions to develop release plans.
• Evaluate and document participant progress.
• Document CBI services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce norms.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS and contracted staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

About the Position:

The Counselor II/III (ISUDT) The Counselor III is responsible for the delivery of face-to-face rehabilitative programming services provided in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP).

What You Will Do:

• Facilitate CBI classes, using evidence-based and standardized curriculum to the participants.
• Conduct class and facilitate individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans and/or provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document the progress of participants assigned to their classes.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations for participations and completion.
• Work collaboratively with the CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institution, and CDCR contracted staff and

Required:

• Counselor II: Certified as an AOD Counselor.

• Counselor III: Certified as an AOD Counselor, with one (1) year of full- time experience providing certified AOD counseling services.
