Job summary

Amity Foundation in California seeks a Registered/Certified Substance Abuse Counselor I to support inmates through the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDT). This full-time, on-site position works in a state prison and focuses on rehabilitative programming.

You will facilitate classes, conduct individual sessions, and document progress in ARMS, while collaborating with CDCR staff. The wage is $28 per hour with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with an organization approved by DHCS and obtain their AOD certification within five (5) years of registration date.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based curriculum.
• Conduct class and individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans or provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document progress of participants in classes.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations for participation.
• Work collaboratively with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institution, and CDCR contracted staff.
• Other related duties as assigned by the Contractor.

About the Position:

What You Will Do:
