His Mansion Ministries is seeking a Counselor to join the Care Team in providing Christ-centered care and counseling. The role involves individual and group counseling, leading classes, and guiding residents in addiction recovery, spiritual formation, and character development.

Responsibilities include collaborative care planning, facilitating group sessions, and active participation in worship and ministry life. A mature Christian faith and a collaborative spirit are essential.

Ministry Position

The Counselor role at His Mansion Ministries is, first and foremost, a ministry position. The Counselor serves as an integral member of the Care Team, working alongside fellow counselors and program staff to provide care and support for program participants. The Counselor provides both individual and group counseling. In collaboration with other counselors, teachers, and staff members, she/he facilitates groups focused on addiction recovery, spiritual formation, character development, and discipleship.

This position extends beyond the responsibilities listed above. The Counselor is expected to model Christlike character and actively lead others toward Jesus Christ through both word and action. All employees, including Counselors, are expected to support program participants through prayer, spiritual guidance, and participation in regular community worship and ministry life. Employment provides a hybrid compensation package that includes housing and supplemental income.

Summary

The Counselor works alongside a team of staff members to provide Christ-centered care, counseling, and leadership in alignment with the mission and values of His Mansion Ministries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent training) in counseling, psychology, social work, ministry, or a related field.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Meet individually with Residents to provide support, guidance, encouragement, and feedback in accordance with His Mansion Ministries' philosophy of ministry and Statement of Faith.


• Teach and facilitate assigned classes and groups (e.g., stage classes, spiritual formation classes, character formation classes, and other program curricula).


• Facilitate group counseling exercises focused on relational development, emotional health, and communication skills.


• Collaborate with other Care Team members regarding Resident care, progress, and treatment planning.


• Participate in community life, spiritual activities, and other ministry responsibilities as needed.
