Horizon Health Services is seeking recent graduates or experienced counselors to join our clinic in Lockport, NY. The role offers mentorship, robust onboarding, and a path to licensure with support for exams and supervision.

You will assess patients, build rapport, and develop individualized treatment plans using CBT, DBT, and MI, while collaborating with physicians and care teams to improve patient outcomes. This is a demanding, rewarding opportunity with growth potential.

Qualifications

• CASAC-T Certification plus a Bachelor’s Degree
• Completed Master’s degree in a program that will grant licensure in the state of New York

Responsibilities

• Attend trainings via our learning management system to gain knowledge for success as a counselor
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Participate in weekly one-on-ones with your supervisor and team meetings
• Use evidenced-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and MI to improve patient outcomes
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, care coordinators and families to strengthen support networks
