Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo seeks a Faculty Specialist I - Counseling to teach graduate courses, coordinate practicum and internship experiences, and advise doctoral students. The role combines faculty duties with clinical coordination and liaison work with CCPS directors.

Responsible for 15 credit hours per semester, summers possible, and collaboration with the Counselor Education Unit and department chairs.

Qualifications

• PhD in Counselor Education from an accredited institution.
• Major field of study in Counselor Education.
• Twelve months of full-time experience managing clinical counseling services or training.
• Doctoral dissertation in Counselor Education.
• Doctoral dissertation in underrepresented student populations in Counselor Education.
• Limited licensed counselor license in the State of Michigan.

Responsabilités

• Teach university graduate courses in general counseling and clinical courses.
• Serve as a faculty member in the counselor education unit and as clinical coordinator.
• Teach and perform service roles for 15 credit hours per semester, including advising.
• Coordinate practicum and internship experiences with CCPS directors and staff.
• Coordinate the administrative aspects of clinical experiences from application to class assignments.
• Maintain ongoing communication with site supervisors to ensure compliance and support supervisor roles.
