Job Summary:

As a Camp Counselor, you are responsible for ensuring the safety of the children and demonstrating leadership abilities in the absence of the Supervisor. You must be familiar with approved methods of managing problem behaviors of young children. The role requires courteous interaction and tactful diplomacy when dealing with the public. The Camp Counselor also maintains cooperative and harmonious relationships with other counselors, showing professionalism, independence, and a willingness to learn on the job.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety of children and provide constant supervision, including keeping children hydrated and applying sunscreen when outdoors.
  • Communicate with parents and inform them of important information regarding their children. Always be courteous and tactful when dealing with Members/Parents.
  • Supervise children during lessons (golf, tennis, etc.).
  • Be familiar with different childcare methods and understand the best approaches to resolve behavioral issues.
About You:
  • Able to lift children weighing 20 pounds or more.
  • Monitor attendance and actively participate with children.
  • Minimum age of 17 years.
  • Camp experience is a plus.
  • Friendly, calm demeanor.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
