Job summary

Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas is seeking a full-time on-campus counselor to oversee all campus counseling services for students. The role requires biblical counseling expertise, leadership experience, and Texas licensure or eligible licensure, with capacity for telehealth and in-person sessions.

The position emphasizes spiritual maturity, alignment with ATC mission, and ability to work in a fast-paced recovery environment.

Qualifications

• Biblical counseling required.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Texas professional counselor or biblical counselor.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and oversight of all counseling services for campus students.
• Maintain certifications and licenses to practice in Texas.
• Offer on-campus and telehealth counseling sessions.
• Train campus staff on counseling and de-escalation topics.
• Coordinate group counseling and supervise practicum students (if licensure obtained).

Job Description

this position is full-time on campus. This position is responsible for providing counseling and oversight of all counseling related services offered by ATCOT to campus students.

Requirements

Biblical counseling.

A person of spiritual maturity, amiable to the Assemblies of God doctrine, and in full agreement with the ATC mission statement.

Leadership experience. ATC ministry experience is desirable.

Be licensed by the state of Texas as a professional counselor or licensed by a reputable agency as a biblical counselor.

He a current understanding and working knowledge of addictive problems and their deleterious effects. Knowledge of the various treatment approaches and the reality that the only permanent healing is in Jesus Christ. Mus be empathetic to those with life controlling problems.

Knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Word, and powerpoint, Outlook is required.

must be organized and able to multi-task and physically able to operate in a fast-paced environment.

*A masters degree is preferred with ability to provide supervision to practicum students seeking licensure

Ultimate Journey and Living Free Facilitator (or willing to be trained)

Comfortable with telehealth if needed and in person weekly counseling and group counseling

Maintain all certifications and/or licenses needed in order to provide counseling, facilitate groups in the state of Texas.

Support your campus by providing training on counseling related and de-escalation topics

Work hours typically 8am-5pm, but subject to on call.
