Are you someone who enjoys mentoring young adults, helping people work through challenges, and encouraging others to reach their goals?
Glenmont Job Corps Center is looking for a compassionate, organized, and dependable Counselor to join our team!
Our Counselors are an important part of each student's Job Corps journey. You'll work directly with a group of students throughout their enrollment—getting to know them, helping them set goals, addressing challenges, tracking their progress, and encouraging them all the way through program completion.
Think of this role as a combination of counselor, mentor, case manager, advocate, and student success coach.
A valid in-state driver's license is REQUIRED for this position.
Monday & Friday: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Tuesday-Thursday: 11:00 AM-8:00 PM
Every student comes to Job Corps with different goals, experiences, strengths, and challenges.
As a Counselor, you'll become one of their main points of support throughout the program.
Your goal is simple: help students stay on track, overcome barriers, grow personally and professionally, and successfully complete their Job Corps journey.
This position includes an additional leadership responsibility.
When the Counseling/CPP Manager is unavailable, the Counselor may serve as the Acting Counseling/CPP Manager.
During those times, you'll help provide guidance and support to the department and assist with keeping daily operations running smoothly.
This makes the position a great opportunity for someone who enjoys counseling and case management but also wants to continue developing their leadership and supervisory skills.
At Job Corps, counseling isn't just about paperwork and appointments.

If you're compassionate, dependable, organized, and passionate about helping young adults succeed, we'd love to hear from you!
Join Glenmont Job Corps Center and become part of the support system that helps our students turn their goals into a future.
