Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED with four years related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in rehabilitation counseling, social work, or related field and two years of experience with individuals with disabilities.
  • CRC credential and/or Master’s degree preferred; availability of special education certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains referral sources.
  • Conducts interviews with VR participants.
  • Reviews education, vocation, psychological, and medical information.
  • Travels within caseload to meet with individuals and partners.
  • Assists in determining eligibility and developing an employment plan.
  • Counsels and guides participants through rehabilitation and employment goals.
  • Maintains timely documentation in client information system.
  • Ensures confidentiality and educates stakeholders about services.
  • Provides information about rehabilitation services to educate the public and vendors.
  • Enters accurate participant data as directed.
  • Monitors authorizations and invoices for services.
