Asbury University is seeking a Counselor to deliver comprehensive mental health services across the campus, working under the Associate Dean of Wholeness and Wellness. The role supports the Center for Wholeness and Wellness and Student Life, aligning with the university’s Christian ethos and mission while promoting academic excellence and spiritual vitality.
Responsibilities include individual, couples, and group counseling, student assessments, crisis intervention, and training for practicum
The Counselor provides programs and services to address the mental health needs of the entire campus community. This counselor will provide a full range of community counseling services and is responsible for specific components of the departmental goal plan. The Counselor serves directly under the Associate Dean of Wholeness and Wellness. As a staff member of the Center for Wholeness and Wellness and the Student Life team, the counselor supports the overall mission of Asbury University and adheres to the ethos statement of the University. An important part of the position is supporting the ministry and mission of the University and advancing the academic excellence and spiritual vitality of our University and students. Each employee plays an important role in the development of the Christian faith in our students.
This is a full-time, on-site position, 9 month position. The hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Potential exists to work some evenings and weekends.
No travel is expected for this position.
