Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) Counselor is responsible for ensuring, with the treatment team, that each participant is provided the services necessary to achieve goals of their treatment plan.

Counselors familiarize themselves with each new participant to provide counseling based on best practices and may deliver educational presentations to participants and/or families. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, MFT, or social work from CSWE-accredited program.
• Minimum of one year of full-time behavioral health experience.
• Licensed at independent or associate level with AZBBHE as relevant professional.
• In good standing with AZBBHE and eligible for supervision toward licensure.
• Valid identification and AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services per each participant’s individualized treatment plan.
• Familiarize with new participants to determine appropriate counseling approach.
• Deliver educational presentations to participants and/or their families as needed.

Education

Master’s degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy or social work from CSWE-accredited program

1 year of full-time behavioral health experience

AZBBHE license (independent or associate) as Psychologist, Social Worker, Counselor or MFT

Good standing with AZBBHE and eligible for supervision toward licensure

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

Job Summary

The Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) Counselor is responsible for ensuring, with the assistance of other treatment team members, that each participant is provided the services necessary to achieve the goals of treatment as outlined in their individualized treatment plan. Counselors familiarize themselves with each new assigned participant to provide appropriate counseling services based on best practices models as well as providing educational presentations to participants and/or their families as needed. Also known as: Counselor, Therapist, Clinician.

Skills/Requirements

• Master’s degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy or social work from a CSWE-accredited program required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of full-time behavioral health experience is required of this position.
• Must be licensed at the independent or associate level with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE) as Psychologist, Social Worker, Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist.
• Must be in good standing with the AZBBHE and meet requirements to provide clinical supervision toward licensure.
• Valid identification required.
• Holds AZ Fingerprint Clearance card
