UNL’s Counseling & Psychological Services seeks a Counselor to support the student population’s mental health care. The role involves providing individual, group, and relationship counseling and psychotherapy, emergency response to mental health crises, on-campus training and presentations, collaboration with university health professionals, case management and support of embedded programs across campus.
Master’s degree (MA, MS, MSW) plus 2 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary psychological setting. Eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner in the State of Nebraska.
Prefer licensure as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner. Experience providing counseling and psychotherapy to traditionally underserved populations desirable. Experience working in a comprehensive counseling center at a college or university helpful. Prefer exposure to stepped care and short-term models of counseling.
