Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma required; advanced training preferred.
  • Certification: None required; certification through training and professional associations is desirable.
  • Experience: None required; office experience preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data entry, and general office skills.
  • Other: Ability to maintain positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and the community.
Primary Responsibilities
  1. Support shared clerical functions of the guidance office, counselors, and administrators.
  2. Maintain student data with confidentiality.
  3. Serve as a liaison between administration, counselors, and faculty.
  4. Organize files, develop spreadsheets, fax reports, scan documents, and manage the front desk.
  5. Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls appropriately.
  6. Create a welcoming and professional environment in the guidance office.
  7. Build positive relationships with the school community.
  8. Assist students with questions and needs before, during, and after school.
  9. Develop spreadsheets for record-keeping and reporting.
  10. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across divisions.
  11. Organize student registration days.
  12. Participate in professional development activities.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Details
  • Salary Lane: SEC2 - Starting at $19.75/hour
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Work Calendar: 181 days (School Year)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5.8 hours daily
  • Benefits: Part-time benefits including vision, life insurance, disability; eligible for PERF retirement. Medical and dental not included.
  • Paid Time Off: Eligible
  • Holiday Pay: Not eligible
Physical Demands

Regularly required to sit, stand, handle objects, communicate, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus.
