Qualifications

  • Possess an undergraduate and/or graduate degree from a Top 100 undergraduate institution.
  • Have 2+ years of experience in counselor enablement, operations, instructional design, or coaching; edtech/startup preferred.
  • Hands-on LMS experience, with Docebo migration/administration preferred.
  • Proven track record in writing curriculum and training materials.
  • Deep familiarity with college preparation, application, and admission processes.
  • Experience coaching teams or contractors to grow rosters and quality.
  • Excellent communicator with detail-oriented follow-through.

Responsibilities

Job description

This role combines high-level counseling expertise, learning management system (LMS) administration, content creation, and community coaching. You will lead counselor onboarding, manage and maintain our learning platform (Docebo), develop counseling curriculum, and provide ongoing coaching to help counselors increase student acquisition and satisfaction. You will serve as a critical bridge between counselors and internal teams—ensuring high engagement, seamless enablement, and long-term counselor success.


REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Counseling Enablement & Content Development


  • Lead and refine counselor onboarding programs to ensure seamless, efficient ramp-up for all new counselors.

  • Manage the complete end-to-end migration of all onboarding and training materials to Docebo.

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Docebo, handling daily platform maintenance, user management, and content organization.

  • Write, edit, and maintain counseling curriculum, training modules, and student-facing counseling content.

  • Update and manage shared counseling resources (Counselor newsletters, Year-at-a-Glance, Slack updates, etc.).


Counselor & Community Management


  • Provide ongoing coaching, data and resources to help counselors effectively match with families and manage student caseloads efficiently.

  • Facilitate monthly Community Meetings, Office Hours, and additional engagement opportunities for Empowerly College Counselors.

  • Serve as a resource for the community when questions arise from counselors and families, delivering consistent, accurate information across all platforms (Slack, email, phone, video, webinars, etc.).

  • Monitor and analyze counselor performance metrics to identify opportunities for continuous quality assurance and ongoing coaching.

  • Update and manage counselor profiles, bios, university acceptance results, and performance data.


Internal Collaboration & Operational Support


  • Partner with the Operations team to enhance processes for quality control, satisfaction tracking, and escalation resolution.

  • Maintain active communication with counselors and internal teams regarding key admissions deadlines, curriculum releases, and updates.

  • Collaborate across functional teams to scale operational processes and solve complex organizational challenges.

  • Establish policies and processes to support counseling work at scale.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Possess an undergraduate and/or graduate degree from a Top 100 undergraduate institution.

  • Have 2+ years of experience in counselor enablement, operations, instructional design, or coaching; experience within a college counseling firm or edtech startup is preferred.

  • Hands-on experience administering Learning Management Systems (LMS), with direct experience managing or migrating to Docebo highly preferred.

  • Proven track record in writing curriculum, creating training materials, and developing educational content.

  • Deep familiarity with college preparation, application, and admission processes.

  • Demonstrated capability in coaching team members or independent contractors to grow their rosters and elevate service quality.

  • Excellent communicator with strong follow-through and high attention to detail.

  • Skilled project manager capable of directing multi-phase initiatives and managing competing priorities.

  • Savvy with Google Workspaces, Docebo, Hubspot, and other modern SaaS technologies.

  • Be a highly adaptive, self-motivated professional.
