Job summary

LHH is seeking a Regulatory and Compliance Counsel to join its growing legal team. This role sits at the nexus of legal, regulatory, compliance, government, and business operations, shaping the compliance framework for a federally supported project.

The attorney will advise on federal funding and loan compliance, develop procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes, support audits, and partner closely with other business units.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of legal experience in a law firm, government role, or in-house.
• Experience in regulatory, compliance, government contracts, construction, infrastructure, energy, and/or federal funding.
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory and contractual requirements and translate into practical business processes.
• Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-moving, high-visibility environment.

LHH, Legal Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a dynamic organization in the Energy industry to identify a Regulatory and Compliance Counsel for its growing legal team.

This is a unique opportunity for an attorney who enjoys being at the intersection of legal, regulatory, compliance, government, and business operations. The attorney will play an important role in developing and managing the compliance framework surrounding a significant federally supported project.

The Counsel will advise on federal funding and loan compliance requirements, develop compliance procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes, support audits, and Partner closely with other Business units.

Qualified Candidates will have;

• A minimum of three years (3+ years) of legal experience within a law firm, government role, or in house.
• Have meaningful regulatory, compliance, government contracts, construction, infrastructure, energy, and/or federal funding experience
• Strong ability to interpret complex regulatory and contractual requirements and turn them into practical business processes
• Someone comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-moving, highly visible environment

The role reports Directly to the GC and is considered a critical hire with a high level of responsibility. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to move beyond traditional legal work and have a direct role in shaping the compliance infrastructure behind a significant company endeavor.
