Counsel & Compliance Officer - Hedge Fund - New York

Our client

Our client, a leading international Hedge Fund, are searching for a Counsel and Compliance Officer to join their Legal team, supporting the buildout of their Collateral Loan Obligation business. Responsibilities of the role will include:

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal and compliance advice on the structuring, negotiation, and execution of CLO transactions
• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures specific to the CLO business to ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents and contracts, including transaction documents such as indentures, credit agreements, and offering documents
• Monitor regulatory developments and changes in the CLO and broader financial markets and provide guidance to the business on the impact of such changes, including potential modifications to business practices or transaction structures.

Experience requirements:

• Minimum of two years gained working within the CLO market, CLO Structures and Docs, Regulatory Environments
• JD from top law school
