Job summary

Verily Health is seeking an experienced Counsel, Tech, AI, and IP to lead strategic commercial transactions and oversee IP risk across enterprise AI initiatives in the United States. You will partner with engineering, data science, and product teams to advise on licensing, data use, and cloud hosting arrangements.

The role requires navigating AI laws and standards (EU AI Act, NIST RMF, ISO/IEC 42001) and developing an IP strategy aligned with product development and commercialization goals.

Qualifications

• JD degree or equivalent education.
• Licensed to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• 6+ years supporting health-tech transactions and SaaS agreements.
• Experience drafting and negotiating licensing and technology agreements.
• Experience advising on AI-driven products in regulated enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate IP, AI, and technology-related contracts with vendors, partners, customers.
• Provide legal counsel for enterprise AI governance framework.
• Track and interpret global AI laws and translate into policies and training.
• Develop IP strategy aligned with product development and supervise outside counsel.
