Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is hiring a Youth Engagement Specialist to provide direct care and supervision for youth in a cottage setting. You will relieve Cottage Parents, model life skills, and assist with day-to-day cottage operations under supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Florida driver license. This full-time role offers benefits and requires strong teamwork, reliability, and compassionate youth engagement.

Qualifications

• Ability to establish warm, consistent relationships with youth and families.
• Knowledge of youth development and group living.
• Experience guiding youth in educational or residential settings preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team for youth and families.
• Strong communication in verbal and written form.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to youth in a cottage setting.
• Relieve Cottage Parents during time off and manage daily cottage operations.
• Model and teach social, academic, and independent living skills.
• Maintain accurate paperwork including notes, MAR, and time sheets.
• Engage youth in programs, chapel, and recreational activities.
• Adhere to agency policies on discipline, records, and confidentiality.
