We are seeking a technically savvy Records Transition and Integration Specialist to support the migration of pre-publication records and workflows from a legacy SharePoint site to the FEITH Records Management System. This role will be central to integrating and configuring the FEITH SharePoint Connector to capture and transfer relevant data, supporting the transition to a new FEITH-based new pre-publication module currently under development. In addition to supporting the records migration effort, the selected candidate will design, develop, and enhance Java-based components that preprocess data from multiple source systems for ingestion into the organization’s SV management system. The initial implementation focuses on SharePoint documents, leveraging an existing reusable codebase that is currently in the early stages of development. The successful candidate will complete and extend this framework, ensuring it can support additional data sources and evolving integration requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a mix of technical awareness of enterprise integration patterns, strong Java development experience, SharePoint familiarity, and strong communication skills to support the successful onboarding of users into the new process. The candidate should be highly self-sufficient, adaptable, able to work effectively under the direction of a Technical Lead, and capable of analyzing complex technical problems and clearly communicating proposed solutions.

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based preprocessing components that transform and prepare records and metadata from multiple source systems for ingestion into the organization’s SV management system.
  • Complete and extend the existing reusable Java preprocessing framework, helping evolve it into a modular and extensible solution capable of supporting additional systems, data source, formats and ingestion requirements.
  • Develop and maintain integration logic for SharePoint and other source systems, including use of the FEITH SharePoint Connector to capture and transfer relevant documents and metadata.
  • Integrate and configure FEITH components within ingestion workflows, supporting the setup, testing, and initial configuration of the FEITH pre-publication module to align with customer and system requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and investigate ingestion and integration issues by analyzing logs, exceptions, data, database states, and system configurations; identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Apply sound object-oriented software development practices and design principles to create maintainable, reusable, and scalable solutions, with consideration for future integration and cloud modernization efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Lead, FEITH development team, Electronic Records Management Services team, and customer stakeholders to clarify requirements, evaluate technical approaches, and support successful implementation and rollout.
  • Conduct data ingestion activities, including the one-time migration of records into the FEITH system once the new module is operational, and support additional ingestion initiatives as required.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including data flows, process models, system designs, and other documentation needed to support development, integration, troubleshooting, and sustainment activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Six (6) years of experience in software development/engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline
    • Ten (10) years of additional software development experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • General understanding of Microsoft environments and enterprise collaboration tools
  • Understanding of API calls, especially REST.
  • Experience with parsing various file formats including txt, Excel, JSON, XML, and others.
  • Experience with FEITH Records Management System or other COTS products.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing applications and integration solutions in Java, including object-oriented programming, common software design patterns, and Java concurrency concepts.
  • Experience designing and developing modular, reusable, and maintainable software components, with familiarity with Domain-Drive Design (DDD).
  • Experience using Gitlab for source control and Maven for Java project configuration and build management.
  • Experience working with JFrog Artifactory or similar artifact repository tools to publish, retrieve, and manage software artifacts.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, including content structures and common workflows.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to onboard and train users on a new system.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with developers and product support teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Background in SharePoint migrations or connector tools.
  • Experience supporting enterprise rollouts and managing stakeholder expectations.

The estimated salary range for this position is between $150,000-$200,000 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
