Job summary

Jackson Therapy Partners, LLC is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract in Davis, CA. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain the skills needed for everyday life.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
• Active California COTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting preferred.
• Experience treating geriatric patients and providing ADL retraining, restorative programs, and fall prevention interventions preferred.
• Ability to follow plan of care and document in electronic health record.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in regaining activities of daily living under supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Document patient progress in the facility's EHR.

We’re hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Davis, CA. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain the skills needed for everyday life.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
• Active California COTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred. If required by the client, BLS must be current prior to start.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting preferred.
• Experience treating geriatric patients and providing ADL retraining, restorative programs, and fall prevention interventions preferred.
• Ability to follow plan of care and document in electronic health record. Experience with facility EHR systems preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and demonstrate effective communication with patients and family members.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Shift Name: Days.
• Shift Schedule: 5 days per week.
• Float Requirement: Candidate may be required to float to other nearby facilities as needed.
