Job summary

Opis-Senior-Services-Group in Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and support patient rehabilitation.

The role involves evaluating patients, implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and coordinating with the OT to achieve short- and long-term goals; a collaborative, patient-centered environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy services as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist in patient evaluations and assessments as needed.
• Support the development and execution of individualized treatment plans, including short-term and long-term goals.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Communicate patient progress and any concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
• Document patient treatment and progress in medical records.
