Hill Valley Healthcare in Virginia is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support residents in regaining independence in activities of daily living. You will work under the Occupational Therapist to deliver treatment plans and document progress.

This role emphasizes resident-centered care, teamwork, and compliance with HIPAA and regulations. A graduate of an accredited OTA program with current COTA certification and state licensure is required; long-term care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current COTA certification and state license in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, reliable, and committed to quality care and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering treatment plans to help residents regain independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Carry out therapeutic activities to improve residents’ strength, coordination, mobility, cognition, and self-care abilities.
• Monitor and document resident progress through accurate and timely notes and reports.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and care team members.
• Support in training residents and families on techniques and use of adaptive equipment.
• Follow established treatment protocols and safety guidelines under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
• Participate in care team meetings and collaborate to ensure a holistic, resident-centered care approach.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and Residents' Rights.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Occupational Therapist or Director of Rehabilitation
