Job summary

Powdersville Post Acute in Easley, SC, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide therapeutic interventions that help residents improve function, independence, and quality of life.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited COTA program, holds an SC license in good standing, and can maintain continuing education requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current South Carolina COTA license in good standing.
• Must maintain all required continuing education requirements.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
• Experience with PCC and Casamba preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Follow physician orders and individualized treatment plans.
• Document daily treatment notes, progress notes, and other required therapy records.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education.
• Train restorative aides and collaborate with nursing staff as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas.
• Report equipment issues and safety concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with state practice acts, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and team members.
