Job summary

Brushy Creek Post Acute seeks a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehab team on a PRN basis. Working under a licensed OT, you will assist residents in improving function, increasing independence, and enhancing quality of life through individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.

We offer a PRN schedule, competitive pay between $25–$35 per hour, and a supportive therapy team at our cottage-style campus near Greer, SC.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn facility software and documentation systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising OT.
  • Assist residents in improving performance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Implement treatment plans and interventions to improve functional independence.
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the OT.
  • Document treatments, resident responses, and progress accurately and timely.
  • Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy team members, physicians, residents, and families.
  • Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as appropriate.
  • Follow all facility policies, state regulations, and professional practice standards.

Position Summary
