Job summary

Career Links is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in a permanent, full-time role with a diverse mixed caseload including hand therapy, outpatient adult rehabilitation, and inpatient SNF services.

The ideal candidate is patient-focused, adaptable, and eager to work across multiple clinical settings while delivering high-quality care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience or interest in hand therapy, outpatient rehab, and SNF settings.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supervising OT.
• Competitive salary based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Treat adult patients with orthopedic, neurological, and functional conditions.
• Assist with hand therapy interventions, including post-surgical and non-surgical upper extremity conditions (training provided if needed).
• Provide outpatient adult rehabilitation services focused on functional independence.
• Deliver inpatient SNF therapy services, collaborating with nursing and interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT.
• Document daily treatment notes and patient responses in a timely and accurate manner.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive equipment, and functional strategies.
• Maintain compliance with state licensure, facility policies, and payer requirements.
