Job summary

Centra Healthcare Solutions Inc. seeks an experienced or newly graduated Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for SNF/LTC settings. This contract-to-perm role offers a days schedule and direct hire potential, with the incumbent expected to apply rehabilitative activities per an OT-developed treatment plan.

You will collaborate with the OT and interdisciplinary team, perform patient education, and contribute to progress monitoring within Centra's network in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's degree or certificate from an accredited school (OT/OTA).
• Current state license as an OTA/COTA or in the licensure process.
• Current CPR certification.
• Assess learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers based on age and emotional status.
• Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises per treatment plan.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists and other team members.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home programs.
