Job summary

Weslaco Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Weslaco, Texas is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of an occupational therapist, you will provide rehabilitative services to patients with strokes, neurological injuries, and orthopedic conditions, helping them improve mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a COTA.
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR card.
• One year of direct patient care experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an occupational therapist, provides rehabilitative services to individuals with physical impairments.
• Monitors the patient's program and records patient's progress for the occupational therapist.
• Maintains quality, safety, and infection control standards.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Current licensure as a COTA required per state guidelines.
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR card required.
• One year of direct patient care experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.
