Qualifications

  • Current COTA licensure and CPR certification are mandatory.
  • One year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Overview

At Utah Valley Specialty Hospital, we provide critical care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries and have earned The Joint Commission’s Respiratory Failure Certification. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. At our 40-bed hospital, we provide specialized treatment throughout Utah and some areas of Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and Nevada.

We are seeking a PRN COTA to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Current licensure as a COTA required per state guidelines.
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR card required.
  • One year of direct patient care experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency.

  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of an occupational therapist, provides rehabilitative services to individuals with physical impairments. Monitors the patient's program and records patient's progress for the occupational therapist. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
