Job summary

The Quality Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to carry out best practice treatments under OT supervision in a long-term care setting. The COTA will provide treatment aligned with established goals and will document patient progress and feedback to the supervising OT.

Responsibilities include adhering to policies, collaborating with disciplines, timely progress notes, punctuality, and upholding professional standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatments under OT supervision.
• Provide feedback and progress notes to supervising therapist.
• Collaborate with other disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of patient progress.
• Ensure professionalism and adherence to schedules.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation
