Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support occupational therapy services under supervision. You will communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to deliver care aligned with the plan of care.

You may assist with patient evaluations, ensure accurate documentation, and participate in initiatives to improve operations, including mentoring new COTAs and committee work.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; six months to one year related experience may be acceptable.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible.
• CPR certification is required.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate is required.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate is required.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Background Clearance Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• May complete components of patient evaluations as allowed by PA State Practice Act; provide OT interventions per the plan of care.
• Completes documentation to comply with department, hospital, and regulatory standards.
• Participates in departmental initiatives for operational improvement including mentoring new COTAs and committees.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
