Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide OT interventions under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. You will work with patients and families, contributing to the plan of care and documentation, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes adherence to HIPAA, professional conduct, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. A current OTA license and NBCOT certification are required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or eligible.
• CPR certification.
• Criminal Background Clearance Certificate (Act 33).
• FBI Fingerprinting Background Clearance.
• NBCOT certification as a COTA.

Responsibilities

• May complete components of patient evaluations as allowed by PA State Practice Act.
• Provides occupational therapy interventions based on the plan of care written by an OT.
• Completes documentation to comply with department, hospital, and regulatory standards.
• Participates in departmental initiatives for operational improvement including mentoring new COTAs and committees.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
