Job summary

Green Palms Health & Rehab of Shelby in Ohio seeks a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will support licensed OTs in delivering high-quality therapy to residents in a fast-paced, residential care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move residents as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans to improve the functional abilities of residents.
• Conduct Occupational Therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Help residents develop skills and strategies to perform daily living activities, such as dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Monitor resident progress and report to occupational therapists and other healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions and resident progress; collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
