Job summary

Luxor Healthcare in Missouri seeks a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support OTs in implementing resident-specific plans. The role involves direct patient care, ADL training, and data gathering for assessments, with active participation in program development and care planning.

You will monitor progress, document diligently in EMRs (Net Health/PCC), educate residents and families, and collaborate with nursing and rehab staff to ensure comprehensive treatment.

Qualifications

• Must be COTA certified.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Treatment Support: Implement intervention plans, including ADL training, and gather data for assessments.
• Program development: Participate in clinical programming and share best practices.
• Monitoring: Observe residents' performance and report changes to the supervisor.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EMRs and POS care delivery.
• Education: Educate residents, families, and care staff on safe techniques and exercises.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with nursing and rehab staff and attend care plan meetings.
