Job summary

People Well Staffing is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time position in San Rafael, CA. The role involves implementing therapy plans under supervision, guiding patients through ADLs and functional tasks, and contributing to a collaborative rehabilitation team.

Applicants must have an accredited COTA program, CA license in good standing or eligibility, and current BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active CA COTA license in good standing, or eligibility for licensure.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by the employer.
• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Assist patients with therapeutic activities, ADL training, functional tasks, strengthening, and coordination.
• Monitor patient response and communicate progress to the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers within the established plan of care.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary care team.
